Montreal – The most recent edition of Batimatech once again confirmed its role as a key hub between innovation, real estate, and construction. The event, held at the Palais des congrès, brought together architects, entrepreneurs, technologists, and decision-makers around a common mission: transforming the sector through new digital practices, sustainable innovations, and by placing humans at the center of reflection.
For Louise Mazauric, architect and member of CREW Montreal, the essence of Bâtimatech lies in the balance between technology and humanity:
"I am an architect and a human being who uses technologies to do my job well. Everything I saw today inspires me to work more efficiently, save time, and offer better service to my clients," she shared.
She also encourages professionals in the sector to participate in the next edition, which will focus on the theme The New Normal.
For his part, Jean Nabaau, president of Scale Plus, emphasized the international scope of the event. His company, specialized in business development in IT and innovation, helps Canadian companies establish themselves in Europe, particularly in France.
"Bâtimatech is an excellent event with high-quality conferences. We see a transformation of the sector, which seeks to innovate, digitize, and implement best practices, especially in terms of energy," he stressed.
Several young companies took the opportunity to showcase their innovations. The founder of a start-up specializing in digital replicas demonstrated how his solutions make it possible to quickly create virtual environments for inspection, estimation, or visualization in virtual reality using the Meta Quest Pro headset.
Johnny Laguerre, president of SGL Canada, for his part, highlighted the importance of exoskeletons in building mechanics and electricity:
"With the weight of the pipes, these tools will greatly help our plumbers."
He also praised digital innovations that modernize project presentation.
For Jonathan Villu, actively involved in presenting the Bâtimatech trophies, the event stands out for its vitality:
"It is a very dynamic, high-quality event with diverse contacts. Bâtimatech has truly changed my professional life."
He highlighted the importance of the role of Francis Bissonnet, a key figure in the organization, who pushes the sector to adopt new technologies and embrace digital and energy transition.
Beyond the conferences, Bâtimatech positions itself as a structuring player with varied initiatives: international events, PropTech, consulting missions, and strategic support. All the speakers agree that the network keeps growing and that this is "only the beginning of the adventure."
The conclusion of the 2025 edition resonated like a watchword for the future of the sector: dare to innovate, focus on people, and move forward together.
