Montreal – In an electrifying atmosphere, PSG Club Montréal was swept up in the excitement of Paris Saint-Germain’s historic victory over FC Barcelona during the second leg of the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals. Gathered at the Union Française, the supporters experienced an unforgettable evening, marked by a dazzling performance from the Red and Blue.

Bertron, president of PSG Club Montréal, did not hide his joy:

“PSG Club Montréal is an association created in 2009 to bring together Paris Saint-Germain fans here in Montreal. We broadcast all the matches, we gather for every game, but today was something very special.”

PSG triumphed 4-1 against Barça in a match filled with tension and emotion that kept spectators on edge from beginning to end. Bertron emphasized the significance of the victory and credited one player in particular:

“It was Barcola who made the difference today. For me, he’s the best. Thanks to him, we won.”

The opening moments of the match, however, cast doubt among fans, as an early goal from FC Barcelona brought back painful memories. But the Parisian team, driven by a determined mindset, managed to turn the tide.

A club member who was present for the watch party recounted:

“We started poorly with that 1-0, but we dominated the first 20 minutes. Then the red card in our favor changed everything. The team kept their composure, pushed forward, and ended up winning. It was incredible.”

Beyond the result, it was the shared passion among club members that truly defined the evening. PSG Club Montréal is much more than just a gathering of supporters—it’s a space of unity for football lovers, whether they are French by origin or converted Québécois fans.

“We’re growing in numbers, with more and more Québécois joining us, loving this unique atmosphere during the 90 minutes. That’s the PSG virus.”

Though euphoria fills the air, caution remains as the semifinals approach. The next opponent, Borussia Dortmund, presents a formidable challenge.

“Dortmund is a strong team. We’ve seen them. But we believe—match by match. This year, we want to go all the way.”

The club’s message is clear: all soccer fans in Quebec are welcome to join the PSG fever.

“Come watch the matches with us. Come feel these emotions. We’ll pass the PSG virus on to you. You’ll become fans too.”

To conclude this memorable evening, chants echoed through the Union Française:

“Allez, allez, Paris!”
