Guest on the set of Facebook TV, Franck Kouamé, social entrepreneur and co-founder of OBD Groupe, spoke about his journey, his vision, and the ambitions of this company born from the meeting of three Ivorian entrepreneurs living in Canada.

“I have always wanted to be the master of my time,” confides Franck Kouamé at the outset. Passionate about the world of business, he launched two years ago into the creation of a communication and media company. His mission: to support entrepreneurs in order to optimize their visibility, both online and offline.

The project was born from the meeting of three Ivorian entrepreneurs, each already active in his field. “We discovered each other through the Ivorian community in Canada. We shared the same vision: working together to help others,” recounts Mr. Kouamé.

From this synergy came the first structure, Digital Fusion, before evolving into what would become OBD Groupe Inc.

Today, OBD presents itself as a true ecosystem of services. The group develops several tools, including:

  • a digital magazine that highlights entrepreneurs and opportunities,

  • a directory of Afro-descendant entrepreneurs, accessible online for free,

  • visual communication services (logos, signage, visual identity),

  • and soon, a Web TV dedicated to promoting the values, cultures, and talents of the community.

“We want to show the way to both aspiring and established entrepreneurs, offering them a platform where they can make themselves known and grow,” emphasizes Franck Kouamé.

Beyond visibility, OBD advocates for a solidarity-based economy. Thanks to the OBVT card, holders benefit from discounts with partner businesses: grocery stores, hair salons, supermarkets, and other affiliated shops. The goal: to create a circular dynamic where the community supports its own economy.

Based in both Montreal and Geneva, the group aims to expand further on the international stage. “Today, with OBD, an entrepreneur based in Canada can be visible all over the world,” stresses Mr. Kouamé.

As a closing message, the entrepreneur addresses those who are still hesitant to take the plunge: “If you have a business, if you want to be seen and understood, join us. We built OBD to give you this light.”
