The International Symposium of Afro-Entrepreneur Women CIFA 2025 is shaping up to be a major platform dedicated to leadership, innovation, and the impact of Afro-descendant women in the entrepreneurial space. Under the themes “Challenges, innovation and impact of Afro-entrepreneur women for strengthened pan-Canadian cooperation and integration aligned with Canada’s strategy for Africa,” the event aims to bring together influential voices from Canada and the African continent around a common vision: building lasting bridges and promoting inclusive growth.

Dorcas Josépha Daniels, General Coordinator of CIFA, emphasizes that this symposium represents a key moment where “vision, leadership and transformation” converge to chart new paths toward prosperity. According to her, participants will have the opportunity to share their expertise, unite their strengths, and co-construct solutions adapted to the current challenges of Afro-descendant women’s entrepreneurship.

For more than two decades, the Chantier d’Afrique du Canada (ChAfri) has been working within communities to promote a more just and inclusive society. Its commitment is built around four fundamental pillars: entrepreneurship, women’s leadership, youth, and family. These structural axes fuel the ambition of a diversified and prosperous Canada, and they resonate strongly in the organization of CIFA 2025.

Aligned with Global Entrepreneurship Week and the renewed decade for people of African descent, the symposium will highlight entrepreneurial education, equitable growth, and the development of sustainable economic ecosystems. The event also aims to strengthen interprovincial cooperation and solidify strategic ties between Canada and Africa.

Over three days, participants will be invited to take part in discussions, reflections, and meaningful encounters, all oriented toward consolidating the role of Afro-entrepreneur women in economic transformation. “Every woman entrepreneur is a force for change,” reminds Dorcas Josépha Daniels, stressing the urgency of building today the future of Afro-descendant communities in Canada and Africa.

The event is scheduled for November 20, 21, and 22, 2025, at the Centre Mont-Royal. An open invitation to all those who wish to participate in building renewed cooperation between the two continents, under the banner of unity and the Ubuntu spirit: “I am because we are.”
