During a memorable address, Charles Bayetat, the first Black Senior Principal Director in Quebec at TD Bank and co-chair of the Black Employee Network and Allies, delivered a speech filled with pride and determination. His intervention took place during Semaine Dynastie, a flagship event that highlights changemakers and individuals working toward a more inclusive society.
“This is an opportunity for us to celebrate the changemakers who are driving progress every day in Quebec, but also around the world,” said Charles Bayetat before an attentive audience.
TD Bank, a long-standing partner of Gala Dynastie, is taking a new step this year by becoming the official presenting partner of Semaine Dynastie. For Mr. Bayetat, this role illustrates the institution’s desire to go beyond symbolic support: “We are proud to support this initiative that promotes change and encourages the building of a more equitable and inclusive society.”
This commitment goes far beyond event sponsorship. Over the years, TD Bank has developed a series of concrete initiatives, particularly during Black History Month, which it has actively supported for more than fifteen years.
According to Charles Bayetat, TD Bank’s efforts extend both inside and outside the organization. The goal is clear: to help remove barriers that hinder the advancement and development of Black communities and all minorities. “What we are trying to do is contribute to eliminating anything that represents an obstacle to progress,” he emphasized.
This orientation reflects a willingness to evolve practices within the banking sector and to inspire a new dynamic within Quebec society.
In paying tribute to former Black leaders at TD Bank, including the former Regional Director of Business Development, Charles Bayetat stressed the importance of representation and leadership in economic and social spheres.
His address concluded on a note of gratitude and encouragement: “Thank you all for your commitment. Let’s continue together to build a future where equity and inclusion are no longer aspirations, but realities.”
With such positioning, TD Bank reaffirms its place among the institutions choosing to invest in the social and cultural future of Quebec, and demonstrates that an economic model can indeed align with responsibility and diversity.
