Celebration of DIVERSITY with the FESTIBEC BBQ BEACH PARTY Project

Sablon – The gray sky did nothing to dampen the enthusiasm of the many participants who came out for the very first edition of the community festival organized at the Sablons Beach Party. Music, dance, and barbecue were on the program for this day dedicated to friendliness, once again demonstrating the community’s ability to come together, create connections, and share simple yet precious moments.

From the opening of the event, the organizers set the tone. Against a backdrop of lively music, the first arrivals were welcomed with interactive activities. Dance played a central role, with everyone invited to participate, in an atmosphere both joyful and inclusive.

“The weather wasn’t on our side, but that didn’t change the spirit of the day,” confided one of the organizers. “The main thing was to get out, breathe the sea air, and above all live this moment together.”

Throughout the afternoon, musical sequences punctuated by applause and laughter set the pace of the gathering, giving the place the atmosphere of a true seaside festival.

If dance and music warmed hearts, it was the barbecue that brought people together in a moment rich in conviviality. Grilled chicken, tasty skewers, and generous platters circulated among the tables, carefully prepared by the women of the community, who were deeply involved in the culinary organization.

“We wanted everyone to leave with a smile, and sharing a meal remains one of the simplest ways to achieve that,” explained a volunteer while serving a platter of grilled food.

The appetizing smells mingling with the music created a unique atmosphere, reinforcing the impression of a festive event despite the gray skies.

As the hours went by, testimonies from participants multiplied. Many praised the warm spirit of the day. “It was wonderful, truly. We danced, we laughed, we ate… There was an incredible energy,” recounted a still-enthusiastic participant.

The success of this first edition illustrates the strength of local initiatives: beyond the activities, it was a true sense of unity and brotherhood that emerged, proving that the community knows how to create its own moments of happiness, even without ideal weather conditions.

In light of this enthusiasm, the organizers were quick to announce a second edition. Promising even more surprises, performances, and flavors, they hope to attract an even larger audience.

“This first edition was just a taste. Next year, we want to go even further, by diversifying the activities and strengthening the festive spirit,” announced one of the organizers, eyes turned toward the future.

So, the date is already set for a new edition, which is shaping up to be an unmissable event on the Sablon community calendar.
