Montreal — The Palais des congrès de Montréal will host the eighth edition of Bâtimatech, an annual event that has become a must for the construction and real estate ecosystem. Developers, builders, professional associations, and technology solution providers will come together to explore the major issues reshaping the future of the sector.
This year, the reflection will unfold under the theme: “5.0 – The Human at the Heart of Transformation.”
While the 4.0 era emphasized machines and their interconnectivity, the 5.0 approach proposes a refocus: placing the human back at the center of the relationship with technology.
“The goal is to reflect on how construction professions adapt to this dialogue between human and machine. It is no longer just about working with technology, but mastering it, integrating it, and drawing added value from it,” explains the Bâtimatech organization.
The event also aims to highlight the contribution of women and underrepresented groups in the industry. By becoming familiar with technological solutions, they can not only execute projects but also lead, own, and undertake in a historically closed sector.
Over two days, more than 30 exhibitors specializing in innovative technologies will present their solutions. At the same time, around 18 panels and conferences will fuel discussions on topics ranging from digital transformation to diversity, governance, and the environment.
Participants will also benefit from recognized training hours — four hours from the first day, with a half-day of context-setting and reflection, followed by a full day the next.
Bâtimatech is more than just a trade show. For its organizers, each edition aims to create a true “awakening” among participants.
“We want to attract people who are switched on to change, who are sensitive to integration, diversity, governance, and the environment. These issues are global, but we have the responsibility to analyze them and adapt them to local reality,” they emphasize.
Quebec, for example, still lags behind in terms of diversity in the construction sector: only 4% of women are recorded. But organizers remain confident: this gap can be closed — and even transformed into an advantage — provided action is taken now.
Although the event is rooted in Montréal and Quebec’s reality, it also draws inspiration from international trends. ESG themes (environment, social, governance), diversity, and digital integration know no borders. They require both local and global reflection.
Bâtimatech 2025 will therefore take place on September 26 and 27 at the Palais des congrès de Montréal. More than just a trade show, the event positions itself as a catalyst for change in an industry undergoing profound transformation.
